NEWARK – (September 20, 2009) The Worcester County Developmental Center, Inc. (WCDC) is hosting an informative presentation for Newark residents and interested citizens to provide details of their new facility. Construction has begun on the organization’s original site on Newark Road in Newark, Md.

The new facility will include a greenhouse, a health area, a new kitchen and cafeteria and an industrial laundry room. Each space will enhance the organization’s ability to provide vocational training for their clients and provide a greater service to the community. 

The informative presentation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 2-5 p.m. at Barbely’s Restaurant located at 8373 Patey Woods Road in Newark, Md. Light refreshments will be offered and presentation starting times are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.
